Representatives of the School of Medicine at the European conference "Anatomage 2024"

The Anatomage 2024 annual conference was held in Milan from October 17 to 18, 2024 to improve the skills of using the Anatomage virtual dissection table. From CUC's School of Medicine Assoc. prof. Ivana Bičanić, PhD, and chief laboratory technician Marina Periša participated .

The workshops demonstrated what is new in the improved 11th version of the anatomy table, such as the addition of ultrasound imaging of organs. The part related to the physiological functions of individual organ systems was also updated, and for the purposes of comparative anatomy, the bodies of some animals were added.

In addition to the anatomical table itself, the manufacturer also demonstrated other products that are complementary for use next to the table: tablets that show the same bodies as on the large table in a slightly less detailed form, primarily for the needs of group work if not all students can be around the large table at once desk, as well as an online learning platform where the student can repeat and test the material after class.

In addition to the standard anatomical table, the offer also includes a clinical Anatomage table, which is intended for the preparation of both students and residents of all specializations, for performing procedures on the body, drainage, puncture, introduction of anesthetics, etc. With new practical skills and ideas on how to improve our classes, the academic year in anatomy is in full preparation and we hope that it will be more interesting and practically useful for our students.
