Presentation of the book "Communication Management and Public Relations in the Non-Profit Sector" by Assistant Professors Mikić and Radalj
On Monday, May 5, 2025, in the hall "Bl. Alojzije kard. Stepinac" of the Catholic University of Croatia, a presentation of the book "Communication Management and Public Relations in the Non-Profit Sector" by doc. dr. sc. Miro Radalj and doc. dr. sc. Ante Mikić.

The introductory speech on behalf of the administration of the University and the department was given by prof. dr. sc. Danijel Labaš, Head of the University Department of Communication Studies. In his speech, Professor Labaš congratulated the authors on the publication of the university textbook. He expressed his joy at another gathering of experts in the field of communication sciences at our University, thanking them for sharing their knowledge and vision of the profession and talking about the new university textbook that brings valuable information for students, the profession and research in a concise way.

The book was presented by Anita Šikić, editor of the book and director of the Croatian University Publishing House, and prof. Božo Skoko from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. Šikić pointed out that this university textbook in eight chapters shows the range of activities that this sector undertakes in its daily activities, precisely researches and exposes the specifics of their public relations and communication management, and that it is a kind of complement and systematization of textbooks that were published earlier, but did not enter the field of public relations in the non-profit sector in such detail.

Professor Skoko pointed out that this work is a significant addition to the understanding of this area, that it is written clearly and smoothly and that anyone who reads it, regardless of whether they are a student or a professional in the profession, will not have any problems with understanding the topic, which is enriched with literature, additional examples, case studies, research and practical advice.

After the presentation of the book, a round table "Is journalism free from public relations?" was held, in which prof. dr. sc. Božo Skoko, Assoc. Prof. dr. sc. Miro Radalj and doc. dr. sc. Anto Mikić debated, while the round table was moderated by doc. dr. sc. Davor Trbušić. During the round table, mutual interaction, communication, trust, partnership, interconnection and joint work of journalists and PR specialists were discussed.
