Kristian Sedak, PhD, advised the ruling Macedonian party

Kristijan Sedak, PhD, from the Department of Communication Studies participated as an international consultant for strengthening the capacities of political parties in the project "Electoral Support Programme in North Macedonia" of the Government of the Swiss Confederation, which is implemented by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).

As part of this initiative, Dr. Sedak provided tailored advisory support to the ruling political party in North Macedonia, VMRO-DPMNE, in collaboration with the party’s Research and Analytical Center. His work included capacity-building training focused on strengthening internal communication and modernizing strategic messaging.

In partnership with the Croatian company Media NET, Dr. Sedak deployed and presented to the party presidency, led by the President of VMRO-DPMNE and Prime Minister of North Macedonia Hristijan Mickoski, a state-of-the-art AI-based media monitoring and news analysis system that revolutionized the understanding of political narratives, communication strategies, and the evaluation of their impact. This innovative system enabled comprehensive and data-driven analysis of media trends, sentiments, and narratives and became a key asset in shaping political messages. His presentation, titled “Trends, Sentiments, Narratives - A Data-Driven Approach to Political Strategy,” demonstrated how science and advanced data analytics can significantly improve political communication and strategy development.

Through his engagement in this international project, Dr. Sedak confirmed his academic and professional expertise in the field of strategic communications, while at the same time strengthening the international visibility and reputation of the Catholic University of Croatia.
