Professor Marta Čivljak participates in the international Summer School “Healing with Integrity”

From 30 August to 6 September 2026, the international Summer School of Medical Ethics “Healing with Integrity” was held in Ćunski on the island of Lošinj, organised by the European Federation of Catholic Medical Associations (FEAMC) and the Croatian Catholic Medical Society (HKLD).

Prof. Marta Čivljak, PhD, participated in the Summer School as a lecturer and workshop facilitator, addressing current ethical challenges in healthcare. The programme brought together around thirty young healthcare professionals and students, as well as ten lecturers from twelve countries.

The programme included expert lectures, small-group sessions and interdisciplinary discussions, with a particular emphasis on integrating professional expertise, conscience, responsibility and respect for the dignity of every human person.

In addition to the academic programme, participants took part in spiritual activities, group excursions and social gatherings, while also discovering the natural and cultural heritage of Lošinj. The Summer School provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and connect young healthcare professionals from different countries, professions and cultural backgrounds.
