Students and Faculty of the Faculty of Engineering at the Panel “From Idea to Application: What Does Studying Computing in 2030 Mean?”
Students and faculty members of our Faculty of Engineering took part in the panel discussion “From Idea to Application: What Does Studying Computing in 2030 Mean?” held on 25 November 2025 at the National and University Library in Zagreb as part of EduFest.

The panel featured Prof. Zlatan Car, Ph.D., Assist. Prof. Karlo Filipan, Ph.D., and students Maroje Goga and Jakov Stepinac. They discussed how our study programme contributes to educating experts equipped for the future of computing. They also presented the structure of our computing programme—how it integrates technical and social sciences, and how it is delivered on the newly renovated and modern Campus, in small groups and in new laboratories.
The students shared their experiences so far, highlighting the accessibility of professors and the strong sense of community within their cohort. They also spoke about their work on small projects in their initial courses, the professional internship they will complete in the later years of study, and the opportunities to join research and development projects throughout the programme.
