MEF Faculty and Students Win Awards at the MEDRI 2025 Conference
The conference MEDRI 2025 – Second International Conference on Teaching and Learning in Medical Education, held from 27 to 29 November 2025 and organized to mark the 70th anniversary of the University of Rijeka Faculty of Medicine, brought together more than 500 participants from five countries—Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United States, and Australia. Faculty members and students of the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University of Croatia (CUC) took part in the event.

The conference once again confirmed its role as a key gathering for the future of medical education. Among the award-winning faculty was Assist. Prof. Elvira Lazić Mosler, PhD, Vice-Dean for Teaching and Students at the CUC Faculty of Medicine, who received the award in the category BEST INNOVATIVE PRACTICE IN MEDICAL EDUCATION for the presentation of the organization and delivery of teaching within the integrated undergraduate and graduate Medicine programme.

In the category BEST FUTUREMED MOMENT, the award was won by Dušica Kasun, a fifth-year student of the integrated undergraduate and graduate Medicine programme and a member of the Scientific Committee of the conference.

MEDRI 2025 will be remembered not only as a meeting of experts and students, but also as an inspiring milestone that confirmed that the development of medical education rests on collaboration, innovation, and the new generations who enthusiastically shape their future profession.
