Communication science professors at the conference "Croatian literature of Christian inspiration - Christian writers, language and heritage"

Organized by the Faculty of Croatian Studies of the University of Zagreb, Glas Koncila and the Association for the Promotion of Famous Križevcanians "Dr. Stjepan Kranjčić" in Križevci, on Saturday, October 26, 2024, the sixth scientific conference "Croatian literature of Christian inspiration - Christian writers, language and heritage" was held.

The meeting was attended by scientists from all over Croatia and beyond Croatian borders, including three professors from the Department of Communication sciences at the Catholic University of Croatia. Prof. Danijel Labaš, PhD, president of the Organizing Committee of the Croatian Literature of Christian Inspiration meeting, greeted those present and presided over the first session. Prof. Sanja Nikčević, PhD, an external associate of the University Department of Communication sciences, held a lecture on how the Christian message was removed from canon, and Assoc. prof. Suzana Peran, PhD, presented, together with co-author Anđelka Raguž, the results of communication research on Croatian cultural heritage on the pages of Catholic newspapers.

The goal of the gathering was, as the organizers pointed out, to encourage research into an insufficiently known and neglected part of Croatian literature in the history of Croatian literature, science and teaching, with the desire to bridge artificially created discontinuities in Croatian literature and culture in general.
