Students Visit the “Luka Ritz” Centre as Part of the Course “Theory of Education in Practice”

On 27 April 2026, students of sociology, history, theology, and psychology visited the Luka Ritz Center as part of the course “Theory of Education in Practice,” led by Assist. Prof. Bruno Matijašević, PhD, from the University Department of Sociology at the Catholic University of Croatia. The Centre provides support to parents and children facing crisis situations in upbringing, both within and outside the family environment.
 

As part of the course, which integrates general pedagogy with social-pedagogical aspects, students gained first-hand insight into effective preventive practices and common behavioural disorders. They were also introduced to didactic materials used by professionals to provide appropriate support to children and their parents.

The visit aimed to deepen students’ pedagogical knowledge and provide a clearer understanding of what constitutes effective and high-quality educational practice in real-life contexts.
