Professor Peran re-elected as president of the Croatian Society of Catholic Journalists

On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, the annual assembly of the Croatian Society of Catholic Journalists (HDKN) was held at the Monastery of Our Lady of Lourdes in Zagreb.

Our professor of the University Department of Communication Studies, Assoc. Prof. Suzana Peran, was re-elected as president, Neno Kužina as vice-president, and Marija Belošević as secretary. During the assembly, the results of the youth competition with the theme "Share the hope that is in your hearts with kindness" were also announced. A total of 13 works were submitted by students and young people from various higher education institutions in Zagreb, Rijeka, Split and Petrinja, and high schools in Rijeka and Žepče. The first and second prizes were won by students of our University - the first prize for the text "The Story of a Military Chaplain From Heavy Metal to the Altar: How Antonio Decided to Follow Christ in Military Boots" was won by Elena Pušeljić, a graduate student in Communication Studies, and the second prize for the text "Communication Imbued with Hope" was won by Petra Gudelj, also from the graduate study in Communication Studies. Daria Ljevar, an undergraduate student of Croatian language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Rijeka, received third prize for the text "The End as a New Beginning".
