Pastoral workers from Western Europe visited CUC

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, the Catholic University of Croatia (CUC) was visited as part of the Annual Meeting of Pastoral Workers from Western Europe by priests and pastoral workers who work in Croatian Catholic missions, led by Fr. Ph.D. Tomislav Markić, director of pastoral care for Croats abroad, and Ivic Komadin, delegate of pastoral care for Croats in Germany. Together with them, the Archbishop of Vrhbosna and Metropolitan mons. visited Tomo Vukšić, president of the Council for Croatian Foreign Shepherds at HBK and BK BiH, and Ph.D. Lukas Schreiber, national director for the pastoral care of foreigners at the German bishops' conference visited. In his welcoming speech, Archbishop Vukšić thanked the participants for everything they do for the faithful of Croats abroad and for accompanying them in their communities and strengthening them in their faith. Dr. Scheiber thanked the priests and pastoral associates for their contribution to the life of the Church in Germany.

Rector Tanjić greeted everyone on behalf of the University and expressed his joy at their arrival and their desire to get to know the activities of CUC as one of the educational institutions in the mission of the Church in Croatia. After greetings, the rector gave a lecture on the identity and mission of the University and presented the activities and development of our University. The guests toured the Campus, visited the newly opened university library, TV and radio studio, lecture halls and offices, expressed their satisfaction with what they saw and wished for blessings for the further development of the University.
