Nuclear Medicine – A New Textbook for Medical Students

As of Tuesday, 9 September 2025, the textbook Nuclear Medicine, published by Slap Publishing House, has been released and is now available to the public! The textbook is the result of collaboration among faculty members from all Croatian medical schools and university hospitals, along with two international partnerships, including professors from our Faculty of Medicine.

The material is organized into thematic units that follow the logic of knowledge acquisition: from basic physical and technical principles, through radiochemistry and radiation protection, to diagnostic and therapeutic methods. Special emphasis is placed on clinical application, with presentations of specific cases and problem-based scenarios, including explanations of diagnostic procedures, method selection, and evaluation of results.

The textbook also contains 268 photographs, 35 illustrations, and 55 tables. It is intended for medical students as well as residents in nuclear medicine, radiology, oncology, internal medicine, and related fields.
