Homo Volans Student Club Marks Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Homeland War and the Victims of Vukovar and Škabrnja

On Tuesday, 25 November 2025, the Catholic University of Croatia commemorated the Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Homeland War and the Remembrance Day for the Victims of Vukovar and Škabrnja. The event was organised by the Homo Volans History Student Club.

The programme was opened by the Club’s vice president, Adrijana Kikić. This was followed by a screening of the film The Battle for Vukovar by Damir Plavšić, a defender of Vukovar. Participants then had the opportunity to hear his personal testimony about the defence of the city, as well as an introduction to his three books: The Battle for Vukovar: Three Days in the Hell of War, The Battle for Vukovar: Do Not Cry, My Good Angel, and The Battle for Vukovar: Warriors in Jeans and Sneakers.

After the lecture and discussion with the author, the gathering concluded with informal socialising among participants.
