History professors at the scientific meeting "Privilege Box" in the Croatian State Archives

On Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, 2024, in the large reading room of the Croatian State Archives, a scientific conference was held: Chest of Privileges: Historical and Philological Reflections. On the first day, Prof. Ivan Majnarić, PhD, problematized the historiographical and popular understanding and use of the term "parliament" relying on historical sources of the 14th and 15th centuries. On the second day, the presentation entitled Internal and external policy of the Croatian Parliament in the first half of the 17th century. century: significance, possibilities and limitations was held by Filip Hren, PhD, pointed out the development of the political activity of this class institution on selected cases.

Also, the gathering was accompanied by 2nd year history students as part of the Croatian Country course: 16.-18. century under the guidance of Assoc. prof. Valentina Janković Barbarić, PhD.
