Data collection has begun within the pilot research of the BrAIn project!

We are pleased to announce that the collection of data in primary and secondary schools as part of the pilot research, i.e. preliminary research "Using digital technology and the well-being of children and young people" in ac. year 2024/2025 the BrAIn project has successfully started!

During January 2025, initial meetings were held with principals, professional associates, teachers and school coordinators in 20 primary and secondary schools from all regions of the Republic of Croatia. At the meetings, the objectives of the pre-research and the method of data collection were presented, and a method of cooperation was agreed with each school. These meetings were crucial for establishing cooperation and defining steps for further implementation of research in schools. Individual discussions were also held with principals and professional associates on the topic of using digital technology for educational purposes. The collected opinions and attitudes of interview participants will give us a significant perspective on the topic of research and help in formulating recommendations for a more purposeful implementation of digital technology in the education system. Cooperating schools were also invited to participate in the research for teachers and parents/guardians and students.

We would like to thank all the schools for their hospitality and the successful start of the collaboration, which will certainly be extremely important for the results of the entire BrAIn project.

We invite all schools that we have not yet contacted, but would like to participate in this research, to contact the members of the research team, Lovro Knežević (lovro.knezevic@unicath.hr) and dr. sc. Anu Žulec Ivanković (azulec@unicath.hr), or contact the official email of the HKS research team (brain@unicath.hr). The call is open until February 17, 2025.

We look forward to cooperation!
