CUC professors at the 120th anniversary of the first pediatrics in Croatia

On Friday, October 25, 2024, the 120th anniversary of the first pediatrics in Croatia was celebrated at KBC Sestre milosrdnice, in which the professors of our University also participated: prof. Ante Crnčević, PhD, vice-rector for quality, identity and mission, dean of the School of Medicine, prof. Dalibor Karlović, PhD, and vice-dean for postgraduate studies and cooperation with teaching bases, assoc. prof. Vjekoslav Peitl, PhD.

In his speech, dean Karlović pointed out that although he is an employee of this hospital, he is speaking here as the dean of the School of Medicine of the Catholic University of Croatia: "I am extremely proud and happy that the Schoolof Medicine, and especially our students, have received such a jewel, pediatrics with 120 years of experience and work. I must say that our hospital, Sisters of Mercy, is the cradle of Croatian pediatrics and has demonstrated its strength, who generously opened their doors and had the strength to participate in the construction of another medical faculty, the second one after a hundred years at the Catholic Univesrity of Croatia. Pediatrics, as one of the basic medical specialties, plays an important role here."
