Communication Studies Students Visit the Greek Catholic Church
On 27 November 2025, graduate students of Communication Studies, specialising in Intercultural Communication and Journalism, visited the Greek Catholic Co-cathedral of Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Zagreb. The visit was organised as part of the course Reporting on Religious Topics and led by Assoc. Prof. Suzana Peran, Ph.D., and assistant Hana Kilijan.
During the visit, students learned about the specific features of the Greek Catholic liturgy, the customs and history of the Church, as well as the differences between Eastern and Western-rite Catholics. Particular attention was drawn to the beauty of the iconostasis and icons, which helped students gain a deeper understanding of the importance of visual communication and sacred elements.
Students also visited the Greek Catholic Museum, which houses historical and liturgical artefacts, as well as the exhibition “Theodora’s Icons.”
