Assistant Professor Šikić at the fourth "FERConnect: Geopolitics and Technology - The Future in Turmoil"

On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Luka Šikić from the University Department of Communication Studies participated in a panel discussion as part of the fourth "FERConnect: Geopolitics and Technology - Future in Turmoil", where he presented his own experiences and vision of technology development in the context of current geopolitical challenges.
 

He particularly emphasized the importance of cooperation between academia, business and state institutions in order to accelerate innovation and ensure technological self-sufficiency, and he also touched on the increasing use of digital currencies, which open up a number of opportunities in the financial system, but require a clearer regulatory framework and cooperation at the international level. Through concrete examples from practice, Assistant Professor Šikić showed how technological progress can become a powerful driver of competitiveness, self-sufficiency and security of our region.
