Study Day “Pastoral Care in Healthcare”

The Study Day “Pastoral Care in Healthcare” for healthcare professionals and collaborators will be held on Friday, 17 October 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the Catholic University of Croatia.

The organizers of the event are the Croatian Bishops’ Conference, the Croatian Catholic Medical Society, and the Catholic University of Croatia.

The aim of the Study Day is, while recognizing existing examples of good practice, to encourage the advancement and systematic implementation of pastoral care in healthcare — for patients and their families, as well as for healthcare workers themselves. This requires examining possibilities for developing the formation of pastoral caregivers, especially hospital chaplains, and providing education on pastoral care for healthcare professionals in cooperation with the academic community and healthcare administration.
