Sociology Students Visit the Ministry of Finance

On Monday, 8 December 2025, sociology students of the Catholic University of Croatia (CUC) visited the Ministry of Finance.
 

As part of the graduate course Fundamentals of the Budget, students acquire basic knowledge about the process of adopting the state budget. During this field visit to the Ministry of Finance, they had the opportunity to meet the Minister of Finance, Assoc. Prof. Marko Primorac, PhD, and to learn firsthand how public policies are shaped at the highest level of government, as well as how citizens can participate in the budgetary process.

In addition, students were introduced to the technical aspects of state budget preparation and to the main elements and structure of the national budget through a lecture prepared by Ms Danijela Stepić, Ms Hana Zoričić, and Mr Matko Bilić from the Ministry of Finance.

This form of experiential learning provided all participants from the Catholic University of Croatia with a valuable new experience and enriched them with knowledge that will certainly be beneficial in their future professional development.
