Psychology Faculty Participate in Horizon Project Meeting in Milan
From 23 to 24 March 2026, a project meeting of the consortium members of the Horizon project HappyMums (Understanding, Predicting, and Treating Depression in Pregnancy to Improve Mothers and Offspring Mental Health Outcomes) was held in Milan (Italy). Consortium meetings are held twice a year, and this time Milan served as the host city. Researchers from a total of 17 institutions participated, including scientists from the University Department of Psychology of the Catholic University of Croatia—Assoc. Prof. Sandra Nakić Radoš, PhD, Maja Žutić, PhD, and Nikolina Vukšić, MA (Psych.)—who are actively involved in the implementation of the project.
The meeting began with a review of activities carried out within the nine work packages. It was highlighted that the research team from the Catholic University of Croatia successfully completed data collection within the clinical study of their work package. This was followed by presentations focused on preparing the periodic report for the European Commission, during which work package leaders discussed achieved results, the overall contribution of the project, and planned the final phase of the project.
The scientific dimension of the meeting was further enriched by participation in a race in Monza on 22 March, where the HappyMums project was presented through an information stand with promotional materials. Race participants had the opportunity to engage with project researchers, who were available throughout the event to answer questions and exchange information about perinatal mental health. Faculty members from the Catholic University of Croatia also took part in the 10 km race.
