Fourth Issue of the UniCath Journal of Biomedicine and Bioethics Published

The fourth issue of the biomedical and natural sciences journal of the Catholic University of Croatia, UniCath Journal of Biomedicine and Bioethics, has been published.

The new issue presents a diverse selection of topical subjects from the fields of medicine, bioethics, and the humanities. Among the published contributions are a correction of an incorrectly cited figure in an article on the Hayman technique, as well as a qualitative study examining the attitudes of religious youth in Croatia toward beauty, aesthetic surgery, and aging.

This issue also includes a case report on stroke in a patient with heart failure, along with a study comparing the use of the local anaesthetic EMLA versus no anaesthesia during venepuncture in children.

In addition, the journal features a discussion of ethical dilemmas in prenatal diagnostics and an engaging article that explores the concept of autonomy from a Confucian perspective.

The journal is available on its official website, where readers can also access the first three issues, information about the editorial board, and options for reading the full issue or individual articles. Author guidelines are likewise available on the site, and the editorial team encourages researchers and professionals to submit their work, welcoming new contributions for future issues.
