Editor Blaženka Jančić Guest Lecturer in the Course “Reporting on Religious Topics”

Blaženka Jančić, Editor of the Religious Programme Editorial Office of Croatian Radio, was a guest lecturer on Thursday, 18 December, as part of the course Reporting on Religious Topics, taught by Assistant Professor Suzana Peran, PhD, at the University Department of Communication Sciences of the Catholic University of Croatia.

Speaking to second-year graduate students of Communication Studies in the Intercultural Communication and Journalism track, she addressed the specific features and challenges of covering religious topics in the context of radio journalism, with particular emphasis on adaptation to the digital environment.

Among other topics, she highlighted the importance of thorough preparation, a solid understanding of religious issues, and continuous cooperation with religious communities, theologians, and other experts.

Editor Jančić also shared some of the most memorable moments from her journalistic and editorial career. At the end of the session, she listened to and commented on radio segments prepared by the students as part of their practical coursework.
