Dr. Leali Osmančević delivers guest lecture on nonviolent communication

Senior Teaching Assistant at the University Department of Communication Studies, Dr. Leali Osmančević, delivered a lecture on August 25 at Vladimir Nazor Primary School in Duga Resa entitled “How Do We Communicate with One Another? Nonviolent Communication in the School Community.” The lecture was delivered to the school's Teachers' Council ahead of the beginning of the new school year. She presented the basic concepts of nonviolent communication and used simulated communication scenarios through which participants discussed the challenges of everyday communication, different communication styles, the importance of clarity in expressing oneself, and cooperation within the school community.

The teachers showed great interest in the topic, particularly in practical examples, message-formulation exercises, and strategies for responding to challenging communication situations. The lecture prompted discussion on the importance of active listening, empathy, and clear expression, as well as on how communication shapes relationships within the school community.
