The director of the Renovabis Foundation held a guest lecture at our University

From Tuesday 18th to Thursday 20th March 2025, Rev. Prof. Dr. Thomas Schwartz, Director of the German Catholic Foundation Renovabis, visited the Catholic University of Croatia.

During his stay, Professor Schwartz held a series of three lectures on the topic "Global Business Ethics", intended for first-year students of the graduate studies of Sociology and the graduate studies of Communication. The lectures covered key topics related to ethics in the global business environment, corporate responsibility, justice and sustainability, as well as challenges based on Catholic social science in the context of contemporary business.

In addition to lectures to students, Prof. Schwartz also met with the fifth generation of the Integration and Education Program participants, to whom he sent words of support to the Ukrainian people and emphasized the importance of being proactive in learning the language for integration and finding a job.

Rev. Prof. Dr. Thomas Schwartz is a highly respected theologian and priest, a long-time professor, and the current CEO of the Renovabis Foundation, the largest Catholic foundation for helping Catholics in Central and Eastern Europe. In his rich academic and pastoral career, Prof. Schwartz has connected theological, ethical, and social issues with the current challenges of contemporary society, and his contribution to the topic of business ethics is particularly valuable in today's globalized and often uncertain business world.

We thank Rev. Prof. Dr. Thomas Schwartz for his arrival, time and inspiration that he shared with our community, and we look forward to future collaboration.
