The Integration-Educational Program (further in the text: IEP) is the first comprehensive integration program in Croatia that combines knowledge of the Croatian language, culture, and history. Implementation of the Program has begun on 7th February 2023 at the Catholic University of Croatia and is still ongoing. The program was created and implemented by teachers and experts from the Catholic University of Croatia. Today, all interested persons from Ukraine living in Croatia can be included in the IEP. In the future, it is planned that the IEP will be open to all interested foreigners who live in Croatia and want to learn about the country in a dynamic and interdisciplinary way.
The importance and potential of this program for Croatian society was also recognized by the German foundation Renovabis e.V., a solidarity initiative of German Catholics with the people of Central and Eastern Europe, with financial support in the current project “Integration of Ukrainian refugees in Croatia” for a period of three years, as well as the Catholic University of Croatia with its contribution to the implementation of the project.
