Third CUC Summer School of Music Therapy Held
The third Summer School of Music Therapy, titled “Empowering Lives Through Music: The Role of Music Across Multiple Domains,” took place in Prvić Luka on the island of Prvić from 27 July to 2 August 2025.

The program was organized by the Department of Psychology of the Catholic University of Croatia (CUC) in cooperation with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan, Italy), Universidade Catòlica Portuguesa (Porto, Portugal), Babeș-Bolyai University (Cluj-Napoca, Romania), and The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (Lublin, Poland).

The aim of the program was to provide participants with knowledge of concepts, practical skills, and techniques of music therapy. Accordingly, the curriculum was structured around three main components:
Lectures, which presented the theoretical foundations of various rehabilitation approaches;
Practical exercises, through which participants engaged in implementing rehabilitation methods and adapting techniques to their professional contexts;
Workshops for personal development and growth, designed to encourage participants to reflect on their own emotional and communicative responses within musical experiences, as well as to strengthen professional communication and interpersonal skills through guided musical interaction.

In addition to the academic program, participants enjoyed a range of cultural and social activities, including visits to museums and the Šibenik Cathedral, a music evening, and a joint dinner at the Šibenik Town Hall, with the participation of both professors and students from all five universities.
At the conclusion of the program, all participants were awarded certificates of attendance.
