Round table about the experiences of employed sociologists of the CUC

On Monday, December 9, 2024, in the hall "Bl. Aloysius Card. Stepinac", a round table was held on the experiences of employed sociologists from the Catholic University of Croatia, organized by the University Department of Sociology and the Nexus Sociology Students' Club.

 


The welcome speech was given by the Department Head, Assoc. prof. Ivana Brstilo Lovrić, PhD, with thanks to the organizing team, Matea Dadić, PhD, Tomislav Belić, PhD, and Paula Zujić, mag. soc. on wholehearted engagement and invited the gathered students to proactively advocate for the well-being of the university and departmental community through curricular and extracurricular work.


After the welcome speech, Pero Josip Maslać, president of the Student Council and co-leader of Nexus, gave his speech. The participants of the round table were Bruna Božinović Komar (Coca-Cola HBC), Dolores Ptičar (Dm), Mila Skoko (HZZ) and Karlo Ivanišević Banović (HRT and Radio Bravo). The participants presented their experiences and recommendations during employment, reflected on the working environment and the experience of studying at CUC, and particularly praised the study structure through the 70/30 model, which trained them for continuous work, time organization, as well as the value of teamwork which they practiced through seminar assignments.


The event was led by student Nina Ivasović, and the round table was moderated by student Natali Pera. Prof. Gordan Črpić, PhD, the Vice-rector for Organization and Financial Affairs, and the first Head of Department of Sociology, in his closing speech expressed his gratitude to the participants of the round table.
