Professors Kanižaj, Ciboci Perša and Labaš Delivered Lectures on Digital Media and Family Communication

On Tuesday, 27 January 2026, as part of a programme organised by the Commission for Catholic Schools and Preschool Institutions of the Archdiocese of Zagreb, a series of lectures and workshops entitled “Digital Media and Family Communication” have been taking place throughout January and February for parents and staff of Catholic preschool institutions in the territory of the Archdiocese of Zagreb.

The project, which began in the previous academic year, is carried out by professors from the Department of Communication Studies of the Catholic University of Croatia (CUC): Prof. Danijel Labaš, PhD, Prof. Igor Kanižaj, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Lana Ciboci Perša, PhD. All three are also members of the Presidency of the Society for Communication and Media Culture (DKMK).

The lectures and workshops are intended for preschool educators, with the aim of equipping and empowering them to implement media literacy programmes in their regular work, as well as for parents, to help them become familiar with both the positive and negative aspects of digital media in family communication, including ways to protect children’s privacy and manage their digital footprint.
