Professor Robles from Milan's Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Guests at CUC
As part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility program, the Catholic University of Croatia hosted distinguished scientist Professor Felicia Annamaria Robles from May 16 to 23, 2026. Professor Robles is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore) in Milan and the University of Milan.
The host of this visit was the University Department of Sociology. The official program began on Monday, May 18, with a tour of the University, followed by a lecture delivered by Professor Robles to students as part of the methodology course (Social Research Methods 2). The lecture was dedicated to the application of social theater methods and visual maps in qualitative sociological research.
On Tuesday, May 19, Professor Robles also participated in an online guest lecture intended for doctoral and undergraduate students, the central theme of which was managing research processes with a focus on academic literacy and transferable skills. Alongside the main lecturer, Alessandra Di Nunzio, PhD, and Professor Anna Sammassimo, Professor Robles provided a valuable sociological dimension to the topic, drawing on her rich experience in qualitative methodology and the sociology of family and migrations. The lecture was highly successful and served as an excellent introduction for both first-year and doctoral students to their further research development.
During her stay in Zagreb, the professor participated in a series of additional activities related to her academic interests, including a meeting with faculty members on the topic of the Program for acquiring teaching competencies for work in educational institutions. The guest also attended the formal opening of the General Assembly of the European Federation of Catholic Universities (FUCE) held at CUC, where the keynote lecture was delivered by Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça.
