Professor Pavlić at Prestigious International Conference on Ecological Philosophy and Ethics in Poland

Assoc. Prof. Dr Richard Pavlić from the University Centre for Theology of the Catholic University of Croatia and doctoral candidate Bruno Rukavina, spec. pol., from the University of Zagreb, participated in the 19th International Humanistic Ecology Conference titled “Environmental Philosophy and Ethics in the Face of the Ecological Crisis”, held on 18–19 September 2025 at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, Poland.

At the conference, Prof. Pavlić presented in person, while Rukavina participated online. Their joint presentation, delivered in English and titled “Atheistic Anthropocentrism and Its Four Agents: A Study of Their Social and Environmental Consequences in Light of Laudato Si’,” was based on their series of political-theological studies on anthropocentrism in the light of Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’.

Prof. Pavlić and Rukavina continue their interdisciplinary research on the social and ecological implications of Christian anthropology inspired by Laudato Si’.
