Professor Kanižaj Lectures at the HPKZ Autumn School

On Monday, 1 December 2025, Prof. dr. sc. Igor Kanižaj delivered a lecture on children and media at the international professional and scientific conference – the Autumn School for Teachers and Early Childhood Educators, held from 1 to 3 December in Opatija and organized by the Croatian Teachers’ and Literary Association (HPKZ).

The conference brought together 320 preschool teachers and school teachers, with support from the Agency for Education as well as the Faculty of Kinesiology and the Faculty of Teacher Education of the University of Zagreb. Alongside presenting current research on the media habits of children and young people and reviewing key strategic documents, Professor Kanižaj also introduced existing educational programs on media literacy available to educators, students, and professional associates.

At the conference, Professor Kanižaj presented the newly established CUC Center for Media Literacy and announced the Center’s planned activities for 2026.
