Head of Department Brstilo Lovrić and Sociology Student Darija Glavašević Gave a Lecture at Gornjogradska High School

The Head of the Department of Sociology at the Catholic University of Croatia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivana Brstilo Lovrić, and Darija Glavašević, a graduate student of Sociology (teacher education track), visited Gornjogradska High School in Zagreb on 30 October 2025.

During the visit, the student introduced the Catholic University of Croatia and the Department of Sociology to the pupils, while the Head of Department delivered an interactive lecture titled “Buy, Wear, Throw Away? A Sociological View on Youth Culture and (Un)Sustainable Fashion.”

The pupils actively participated in the discussion on topics such as consumption, identity, second-hand clothing, and contemporary fashion brands and trends. The visit took place during a sociology class taught by our alumna univ. mag. soc. Martina Čoko, teacher of sociology, politics and economics, and ethics.

After the lecture, the guests met with the school principal, Prof. Anita Perišić, and toured the school facilities, including the gym, library, and classrooms. We extend our sincere thanks to the principal and the teacher for their warm hospitality and look forward to continuing our collaboration.
