Erasmus students on field classes as part of the Qualitative Interview and Arts Based Research course
Qualitative Interview and Arts Based Research is an elective course intended for students who want to experience and improve the implementation of qualitative research in an innovative and interesting way. Through interactive teaching and their own research projects, students have the opportunity to design, define and prepare appropriate strategies and protocols. The specificity of the course is also in the field activities outside the classroom. This year, the course is attended by students who are spending a semester at the Catholic University of Croatia as part of the Erasmus + program, and come from Hungary, Turkey and Portugal.

Erasmus students in March 2025 visited the exhibition Five Days, Five Things at the Vladimir Nadzor Gallery, and they connected the artistic experience transformed into the exhibition with their own situation and arrival in a new and unfamiliar environment. On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the students visited the opening of the Festival of Light and toured some of the light exhibits, installations and projections at popular Zagreb locations such as Dolac, Kaptol, Square of Republic of Croatia, Mažuranić, Marulić and European square. They were able to learn more about the method of observation with and without participation, try it out, and also get to know the symbols and culture of Zagreb.

The Qualitative Interview and Arts Based Research course is offered at the graduate level of the sociology program. The instructor of the course is Assoc. prof. Miriam Mary Brgles, and associate Anamaria Malešević, PhD.
