Dr. Maja Žutić Held Workshops and Lectures Marking World Mental Health Day

To mark World Mental Health Day, Dr. Maja Žutić, Senior Assistant at the Department of Psychology, participated in several activities focused on promoting the mental health of pregnant women, parents, and families.

Organized by the Children’s Creative Center DOKKICA, she delivered a lecture titled “Maternal Mental Health – The Foundation of Family Well-Being” and took part in a roundtable discussion “Early Parenthood and Mental Health: Multidisciplinary Approaches to Support in the Postpartum Period.” Together with professionals in the fields of midwifery and community nursing, she discussed challenges and opportunities for supporting the mental health of pregnant women and parents in Croatia.

On 12 October in Karlovac, Dr. Žutić also held a workshop titled “Parental Burnout – Practical Tips for Preserving the Mental Health of Moms and Dads.” The workshop focused on recognizing parental burnout and introduced practical tools for reducing stress and preventing mental health difficulties among parents. The event was organized by the PANDA Prenatal Pregnancy Support Center.

Through her participation in these activities, Dr. Žutić contributed to raising awareness about the importance of caring for the mental health of mothers and fathers during early parenthood and to promoting multidisciplinary cooperation in the field of perinatal care in Croatia.
