Associate Professor Milas at the 32nd European Course in Plastic Surgery
From 12 to 14 November 2025, the 32nd European Course in Plastic Surgery (ECPS) was held at Hotel Dubrovnik in Zagreb. This event is one of Europe’s most significant educational gatherings for young physicians and trainees in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. The course was organized by the Croatian Medical Association – Croatian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and University Hospital Dubrava, under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, with the support of E.S.P.R.A.S.
Over the course of three days, participants explored a broad range of topics in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, including regenerative medicine, microsurgery, treatment of severe soft-tissue infections, chronic wounds, hand and upper-limb surgery, and many others. More than 100 trainees and young plastic surgeons took part, gaining an exceptional opportunity to learn from renowned and leading European plastic surgeons. As part of the programme, participants were also offered the chance to take the European Board Examination in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
Assoc. Prof. Ivan Milas, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University of Croatia (CUC), contributed to the event with a lecture titled “Breast Reconstruction with Expanders and Implants.”
