Assistant Professor Peran and Teaching Assistant Kilijan Presented at a Symposium in Lisbon

Assistant Professor Suzana Peran, Ph.D., and teaching assistant Hana Kilijan, M.A. in Communication, from the University Department of Communication Studies, participated in the research symposium “Journalism Studies Symposium: (Re)Imagining Journalism” held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Catholic University of Portugal in Lisbon. As part of the symposium, they presented a poster titled “Trust in Secular and Religious Media in the Digital World: Example of the Republic of Croatia.”
 

In their presentation, they shared findings from the research conducted within the project “Critical Analysis of Disinformation on Religious Topics”, implemented by the University Department of Communication Studies at the Catholic University of Croatia in cooperation with partner institutions. The focus was on public trust in the media in the context of reporting on religious topics in the Republic of Croatia, taking into account contemporary challenges such as disinformation and the influence of social media.
