Rector Tanjić and Acting Dean Turkalj met with representatives of the Croatian National Council in the Republic of Serbia

On Monday, March 3, 2025, the Rector of the Catholic University of Croatia, prof. Željko Tanjić, PhD, and the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law of our University, Assoc. prof. Kristian Turkalj, PhD, met with representatives of the Croatian National Council in the Republic of Serbia (HNV) in Subotica.
 


They met with Jasna Vojnić, President of HNV and Member of the Croatian Parliament, Marinka Katić, President of HNV's Executive Board, and Nataša Stipančević Francuz, President of the HNV's Education Board. At the meeting, they learned more about the challenges of the Croatian community, especially in the education sector, and discussed further cooperation. After the meeting, Rector Tanjić and Dean Turkalj presented CUC's studies to interested high school students.
 

The next day, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Rector Tanjić, at the invitation of Mons. Ferenc Fazekas, Bishop of Subotica, led a pre-Lenten spiritual renewal for the Croatian clergy of the Subotica Diocese in the Sombor Carmel. Rector Tanjić concelebrated at the Holy Mass led by Mons. Ferenc Fazekas. After the Holy Mass, the priests prayed together at the grave of the venerable Father Gerard Toma Stantić. At the same time, Assistant Professor Turkalj attended the opening of the “Guardian Angels” kindergarten in Tavankutut.
