Psychology professors at the "Children's Rights Days III" conference in Budapest

The Children's Rights Days III - Contributing to a Generation of Mentally Strong and Healthy Children conference was held in Budapest on December 5 and 6, 2024, organized by the Central European Academy, the Association for Children's Rights and the Faculty of Law of the University of Miskolc.


Several teachers from the University Department of Psychology collaborated with colleagues from Hungary in writing the university textbook Social and personality development in childhood intended for international law students, and some of the authors also participated in this conference.


Ana Haramina, PhD, presented the chapter she wrote independently, entitled Trauma conscious child care institutions and education system: How can we create a system both in child care and education, that recognizes and handles developmental trauma?. Asst. prof. Lana Batinić, PhD, presented the chapter she wrote in co-authorship with Assoc. prof. Marina Merkaš, PhD What can we do for the parents? How can a society help future parents to support and care for their children in the best possible way?


Masters in psychology Ana Žulec Ivanković and Matea Bodrožić Selak presented online the chapter they wrote with associate professor Marina Merkaš, PhD, - Children in the XXI. Century: a brief overview of children's mental health issues and psychological well-being in our days.
