Online introductory meeting held for participants of the Erasmus+ BIP Summer School
On Friday, July 10, 2026, an online introductory meeting was held for participants of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Summer School entitled Higher Education Addressing the Erasmus+ Priority: Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change, which will take place from July 13 to 17 at the Catholic University of Croatia. The Summer School is organized by the University's Laudato Si’ Centre for Christian Responsibility and Care for All Creation.
During the introductory meeting, the organizers presented the Catholic University of Croatia, its mission, international cooperation activities, and the work of the Laudato Si’ Centre. Participants were introduced to the objectives and programme of the Summer School, which includes lectures, panel discussions, workshops, and a study visit, all aimed at promoting the exchange of knowledge and examples of good practice regarding the role of higher education in implementing the Erasmus+ horizontal priority Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change.
The meeting also introduced the working materials that participants will use throughout the programme, including key European Union policy documents and other professional resources that will serve as the basis for discussions and workshops during the Summer School.
The Summer School will bring together 32 academic staff members, researchers, and higher education administrative professionals from Croatia, Slovakia, Romania, Austria, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal, Türkiye, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, and Spain. Throughout the five-day programme, participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, acquire new knowledge, and strengthen international cooperation in the fields of sustainability and climate action in higher education.
The successful completion of the introductory meeting marked the conclusion of preparations for the Summer School, which will welcome its international participants to the Catholic University of Croatia during the coming week.
