Nursing students at the 11th Congress of the Croatian Association of Cardiology Nurses

At the 11th congress of the Croatian Association of Cardiology Nurses, held in Zagreb's Westin Hotel from November 28 to December 1, 2024, students of the University Department of Nursing of the Catholic University of Croatia actively participated. The congress under the motto "Person-centered health care: mission, vision and values" brought together health professionals from the country and the world, providing an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences.

Our students also made their own special contribution to the congress: Tomislav Glavak, a first-year nursing undergraduate student, led a workshop on Holter ECG analysis, emphasizing the importance of precise analysis and interpretation in clinical practice. Iva Petković, a first-year nursing graduate student, won the award for the best lecture - case report. Nikolina Jurković, a third-year undergraduate student in nursing, won the prize for the best poster, presenting an innovative presentation of a case from the field of cardiac care in co-authorship. The congress was also attended by three students from Portugal who are on an Erasmus+ internship.

The head of the department, assistant professor Ivica Matić, who was the president of the scientific program of the Congress, pointed out that the participation of students in such prestigious events testifies to the quality of education at the Catholic University of Croatia and encourages the professional development of future nurses and technicians.

We congratulate our students on their exceptional achievements and contribution to the quality of the congress!
