Fantastic weekend for women's futsal team and silver in judo

Last weekend, March 1 and 2, 2025, our colleagues had a demanding weekend behind them where they played as many as three games. On Saturday, March 1, 2025, they defeated FOI 3-1 with goals from Marija Rodić and Lucija Pandžić. On Sunday, they played two games: they lost the first 2-1 against Faculty of Economy, who, along with Kinesiology, are the first favorites to win the league, and in that match we could see how our colleagues are getting closer to the best and how much they have progressed in four years.

In the second Sunday game, also the last round of the group, a "replay of the final" of Humanijada against FBF was played. Our students were very motivated to come out as winners this time and this was reflected in the result - it ended 6-1! Marija Rodić, Lucija Pandžić and Gabrijela Bajić scored two goals each. The colleagues thus passed the group for the third year in a row, and who they will play against in the quarterfinals will be known on Saturday, March 8, 2025. It is worth mentioning that our Marija Rodić is currently the leading player with the most MVP awards in the league.

In addition to her futsal success, the weekend brought another great result – Kaja Špoljarić competed at the Croatian Student Judo Championship, held on February 23, 2025 in Zagreb. In the -70 kg category, Kaja performed bravely and although she ultimately lost the fight, her performance secured an excellent second place and a silver medal!
