Completion of the PARADISE project marked by a plenary meeting in Stockholm

The completion of the PARADISE project was marked by a plenary meeting in Stockholm. From March 30 to 31, the final consortium meeting was held at SciLifeLab, hosted by KTH - Royal Institute of Technology.

The PARADISE project focused on developing a personalized tool for predicting the risk of disease relapse in patients, enabling medication dosing to be adjusted, reduced, or even discontinued. It brought together a wide range of partners from across Europe within the ERA PerMed Joint Translational Call for Proposals for “Prevention in Personalized Medicine.”

The project was coordinated by Prof. Mark Little, PhD, from the Trinity Translational Medicine Institute and the ADAPT Centre at Trinity College Dublin, with the Catholic University of Croatia as one of the consortium partners. Associate Professor Anto Čartolovni, PhD, led part of Work Package 5 - Transparent and Explainable Prediction, while Dr. Anamaria Malešević, Senior Teaching Assistant from the Laboratory for Ethics of Digital Technologies in Healthcare (Digit-HeaL), was employed on the project.

As part of the final meeting, Dr. Malešević delivered presentations titled “Highlights and Learnings - How Can We Embed the Patient Voice More Effectively?” and “Patient Perspectives on Trust and Transparency in AI,” and also moderated one of the sessions.
