Associate Professor Petra Palić Participates in the "Water4Reuse" COST Program in Valencia

Associate Professor Petra Palić, PhD, from the University Department of Sociology, participated in the international Water4Reuse Training School, held from June 29 to July 3, 2026, at the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria of the University of Valencia (Universitat de València), Spain.


The program brought together researchers and experts from various European countries to exchange knowledge and strengthen interdisciplinary competencies in water reuse, sustainable water resource management, and the development of innovative approaches to the circular economy.
 


During the program, Associate Professor Petra Palić delivered a presentation titled "Reclaimed Water in Croatia: A Macroeconomic and Structural Analysis," in which she outlined the macroeconomic and structural aspects of reclaimed water reuse in the Republic of Croatia. Her focus centered on the challenges and development opportunities within the context of sustainable economic growth and European water resource management policies.
 


In addition to her oral presentation, she presented a scientific poster and participated in expert discussions and workshops focused on sharing experiences and establishing new international research collaborations. Associate Professor Palić is also a Management Committee member of the COST Action CA23104 – Water4Reuse.
