Opis
predmeta

Course objectives:  acquire knowledge of the basic theoretical approaches of family therapy as well as methods and techniques of conducting family therapy in practice.
Course contents: Basic features and the historical development of family therapy. Characteristics of some psychotherapeutic approaches to family therapy. Relational Family Model and Relational Dynamics in Systematic Theory and Practice. Specific interventions and features of work at systemic, interpersonal and intrapsychic level in family therapy. Treatment of Trauma and Abuse in Family Therapy.

Present basic theoretical principles and terms of work in family therapy; Present the theoretical foundations of some approaches in family therapy; Compare different directions in family therapy; Critically judge individual approaches in family therapy; Assess the suitability of family therapy for a particular client; Use selected basic skills in family therapy; Describe the basic principles of mutual regulation of affect in family therapy; Identify basic relational phenomena, important for family therapy, among family members; Identify family dynamics in cases of trauma and abuse and identify the necessary tasks in family therapy in such cases.

– first colloquium – 25%
