Assistant Kilijan participated in the seminar "Communication and evangelization" in Rome

Assistant from the University Department of Communication Sciences, Hana Kilijan, participated from Wednesday 22nd to Friday 24th January 2025 in the 14th seminar for Church communication offices organized by the Faculty of Institutional Communications at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. The theme of this year's seminar was "Communication and evangelization: context, attitudes and experiences".

 


As part of the seminar, assistant Kilijan, in co-authorship with Assoc. prof. Suzan Peran, PhD, from the University Department of Communication Sciences, held a presentation on the topic "Phenomenon of Disinformation and Religious Topics: Example in the Republic of Croatia". As part of the presentation, part of the results of the Department's project called "Critical Analysis of Disinformation on Religious Topics (KAT)" was presented, which deals with checking the accuracy of information on religious topics in the digital media space of the Croatian-speaking area.

 


Assistant Kilijan participated, along with other participants of the seminar, in celebrating the Jubilee of the World of Communications. The beginning of the Jubilee was marked on Friday, January 24, on the feast of St. Francis of Sales, celebrating Mass in the Basilica of St. John Lateran. The next day, Saturday, January 25, the participants of the seminar made a pilgrimage to the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican and they passed through the Holy Gate. Then in the hall of Paul VI. met Pope Francis in the Vatican. In the afternoon, various meetings for Catholic journalists and media workers were held in the Vatican and Rome. The jubilee of the world of communications was concluded with a solemn mass celebrated on the Sunday of the Word of God, January 26, in the Basilica of St. Peter was led by Pope Francis.
