What Will You Learn?
This phase of education is designed to equip students with essential knowledge, competencies, and skills in nursing. During their studies, students gain expertise in the theories underpinning general nursing, including an adequate understanding of the structure, psychological functions, and behavior of healthy and ill individuals, as well as the relationship between health conditions and the physical and social environment of human beings.
Students also deepen their understanding of nursing ethics and the general principles of health and nursing. They acquire adequate clinical experience under the supervision of qualified personnel, hands-on experience in team settings, and collaboration with members of other healthcare professions.
While professional courses make up the majority of the program, interdisciplinarity is encouraged to enrich general knowledge and broaden perspectives beyond the field of nursing. Students will also enroll in courses from other scientific disciplines and a few theological courses.
What’s Next After Graduation?
This level of education primarily prepares students with the necessary knowledge, competencies, and skills to pursue a university master’s program. Graduates will also be qualified to work at all levels of healthcare (primary, secondary, tertiary) and in non-healthcare settings such as educational institutions and other social welfare organizations.
