The doctoral study Sociology: values, identity and social changes in Croatian society began in the academic year 2018/2019. and twenty-two students enrolled.
The study lasts three years, upon completion of which 180 ECTS points are obtained and the academic title of doctor of science in the field of social sciences (dr. sc. socio.). The studies will be conducted at the Croatian Catholic University, Ilica 242 in Zagreb. The optimal number of students stated in the report on the execution of the study program is 20 students.
By conducting doctoral studies, the Croatian Catholic University will enable students to obtain an academic degree at all levels, from university undergraduate, university graduate to doctoral studies. On the occasion of the launch of doctoral studies, the rector of the Croatian Catholic University, prof. Ph.D. Željko Tanjić said: "We are happy to have received permits for doctoral studies in the field of history and sociology. With this, our University completes all three study cycles, and after eight years of teaching, the period in which it will be able to award doctorates begins. This is an important step forward in the development of our University, which will demonstrate its ability to shape a generation of new scientists and researchers important for Croatian society. I thank everyone who worked on this project and I hope for a successful start of doctoral studies."
