At our Department of History, which is the oldest program at our University, you will attend classes in smaller groups, participate in field courses, visit libraries, archives, and scientific conferences, and also have the opportunity to join the Erasmus+ program. You can choose either a single-major or double-major track.This way, you can immediately apply theoretical knowledge through research projects and professional activities. To ease the transition from high school to university, the program follows a "reverse" structure—starting with modern history in the first year and progressing to ancient history in the fifth. Additionally, there’s the History Student Club, "Homo volans," where you can work on your own projects alongside your peers.
At the Department of Communication studies, you’ll complete the practical part of your studies within our Campus, in state-of-the-art radio and television studios, as well as in leading Croatian media outlets, PR agencies, and other companies in the communication industry. At the graduate level, you can specialize in journalism or public relations, and throughout your studies, you’re invited to participate in various projects, conferences, and research, as well as in the student newspaper Kompas and the Communication Studies Student Club, PRotagonisti.
At the Department of Sociology you will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge, with a focus on governance and public policy. With a strong foundation in statistics, you will be well-prepared for roles in research agencies and various other institutions that analyze societies and social structures. You can choose between a single-major or a double-major program and alongside your studies, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in conferences, research, and engage with the Sociology Student Club, Nexus.
Our Department of Nursing combines modern teaching methods and practical skills, with an emphasis on an ethically responsible approach to healthcare. On campus, you will work in state-of-the-art laboratories, participate in clinical procedure simulations, and attend lectures. A significant portion of the practical training takes place in affiliated hospitals under the guidance of experienced mentors. You’ll also have the chance to connect with peers in the Nursing Student Club, Nutrix, and have the option to further specialize in emergency medicine.
At the Department of Psychology you will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge across various psychology fields, from biological and social psychology to psychopathology and psychometrics. On campus, you’ll conduct research in the Psychology Research Laboratory and complete additional practical training in external institutions focused on psychological and psychiatric care. Additionally, you can join the Psychology Student Club, Hexis, and participate in numerous quizzes, conferences, and other activities.
At our School of Medicine you will study in an integrated six-year medical program developed according to the most advanced European and global standards. The program focuses on multidisciplinarity, scientific research, and a humanistic approach, with a special emphasis on communication skills and the ethical responsibility of physicians. You’ll attend classes in the state-of-the-art laboratories on our campus, as well as off-campus at hospitals, clinics, health centers, and other institutions, where you’ll gain practical work experience.
