State Secretary Vedrana Šimundža Nikolić's lecture to sociology students

Professors on the subject Society and Corruption, prof. Jasna Ćurković Nimac, PhD, Assist. prof. Petra Palić, PhD, and Karla Žagi, PhD, hosted the State Secretary at the Ministry of Justice, Administration and Digital Transformation of the Republic of Croatia, Mrs. Vedrana Šimundža Nikolić, at their lecture. On January 22, 2025, the State Secretary held an extremely interesting and informative lecture for second-year students of the university's graduate study in Sociology.

Through this lecture, students were given a unique opportunity to learn about the work of the Ministry of Justice, Administration and Digital Transformation directly from the State Secretary and to understand its role in preserving the rule of law. Special emphasis was placed on the strategy and measures implemented by the Ministry in the fight against corruption, including the implementation of anti-corruption policies, strengthening transparency in public administration and the development of digital tools for the prevention of corruption.

The interactive atmosphere allowed students not only to expand their theoretical knowledge, but also to connect academic concepts with practical challenges and real-world examples through discussion. This lecture provided valuable insights into the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in solving the problem of corruption and strengthening social resistance to its negative effects.
