CUC Advent-Christmas Academy held

On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, the Advent-Christmas Academy of the students of the Catholic University of Croatia was held in Aula magna. The new choir Chorus Unicath under the direction of Mihaela Lazić and accompanied by professor Neven Boltek performed twelve songs such as Zlatnih krila, o kakva to svetlost, O Marijo ti sjajna zornice, poslan bi anđel Gabriel, O pastiri čudo novo, Oj detešce up to the standard as are Sleigh ride, White Christmas and It's the most wonderful time of the year. Student Petra Kašnar recited the poems of Stjepan Lice Wgen God comes to this world and Rajmund Kupare's Christmas.

 


Students' clubs participated in the program, and professors and employees of our University gave their support to the music program.

 


At the end of the program, the rector prof. Željko Tanjić, PhD, congratulated the new leader of the choir and the student singers on their beautiful performances, with the hope that the choir will grace many more celebrations at our University. "I wish you the beauty of God's closeness, living in communion with brothers and sisters, in a heart filled with hope that restores the joy of living. On behalf of our university community, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed Holy Jubilee year 2025," said Rector Tanjić.
